You are about to paste a document that might name your client, your rate, and your address into a form on the internet. That deserves a straight answer, not a privacy policy nobody reads. This page is that answer.

Review without saving anything

Every review form has a “Don’t save this to history” checkbox. Turn it on and the contract text is used only to generate your report in memory. Nothing is written to the database, there is no share link, and nobody, including us, can pull it back up afterward. This is the one setting we’d suggest for anything that names a client under NDA.

What we store, and for how long

Reviews you save	Kept until you hard-delete them from your dashboard, which is instant.
Reviews run signed out	Auto-deleted after 7 days, no action needed.
Drafted contracts	Kept as your record of the agreement. Delete a draft anytime before it is sent; once a client countersigns it, it becomes the shared legal record you both rely on.
Your account	Deleted the moment you click delete in your dashboard, no support ticket or waiting period. See the deletion note below for the one exception.

Who your contract is sent to

A short, named list, not a vague reference to “third parties.”

Google Sign-In

Handles authentication. We receive your verified email and name, never your Google password.

Google (Gemini API)

Reads the contract text you submit to run the analysis. Not used to train third-party models on the paid API tier.

Turso

Hosts the database: your account, review history, and drafted contracts.

Resend

Sends renewal reminders and other account emails, not used for sign-in. Never used for marketing without opting in.

Paddle

Merchant of record for billing. Paddle handles your card details and receipts directly; Gig Clause never sees or stores a card number.

Vercel

Hosts the application itself.

What we do not do

Sell or share your contracts, your email, or your usage data with anyone, ever.
Train our own or any third-party model on the contracts you submit.
Store a password. There isn't one to leak, because sign-in is Google Sign-In.
Require a credit card to try the tool. The free reviewer works with no account at all.
Lock your data in. Every review and contract you have is one click away as a JSON download.
Hide behind a support ticket for deletion. The delete button in your dashboard is the real thing.

Sign in and your dashboard has two buttons: one downloads every review and contract you have as a single JSON file, the other deletes your account outright. Both run immediately, both are self-serve, and neither requires emailing anyone.

How the clarity score itself works

Every contract runs through a curated corpus of 25+ clause standards (data/clause-rules.json in the codebase) built by hand, not invented per request by the model. A deterministic rules pass checks for the protections a contract quietly leaves out, separate from anything the AI decides, so the same missing clause is caught the same way every time. The full write-up is in the contract guides, which are generated from the same corpus. It has a real, dated changelog too - only entries for changes that actually happened, nothing backfilled.
